The OWL community offers numerous amenities that make for a healthy and relaxing getaway. There is a 24-acre lake, heated outdoor pool, fitness center, four tennis courts, 2 pickleball courts, a ball field, a children’s playground, hiking trails and a picnic grove.

OWL also boasts a beautiful Lodge with wrap around porches that the community uses for gatherings, book groups, meditation classes and parties.

The homes, roads, trails and plantings, as well as all the common facilities, are cared for in a way that keeps the Wood Lands pristine and natural.
New Lodge

Our new Lodge is a place for everyone to spend time, relax overlooking the tennis courts, play some ping pong, or just gather with friends.
Board meetings are held here, as well as many activities such as the New Year Brunch, Memorial Day Brunch, Book Club, Bridge Group, Mah Jong, & Yoga.
Lake and Waterfront
The Otis Wood Lands lake, with 1.5 miles of shore line, is breathtaking in every season. In the summer you'll find sunbathers and swimmers, kids fishing off the dock, kayaks and canoes (no motor boats allowed) and now, paddle boarders.
But if you'd rather, just read a book, relax under one of the beach umbrellas and take in the serenity. Even on the busiest of weekends, the lake and beach are never crowded.
For an up-to-date analysis of the lake be sure to peruse the 2017 OWL Lake Management Plan Report.
Fitness Room
Our fully equipped air-conditioned fitness room has proven to be very popular. It is available to OWL Homeowners only, with 24 hour keycard access.
There is a defibrillator & emergency telephone on site.
A list of some of the equipment in the room includes: 2 treadmills, 2 elliptical trainers, a semi-recumbent bike, an upright bike, a 4 station gym, and free weights.
Come watch yourself take off the pounds!
Hiking Trails
Grab some water and take a hike. Visit Upper Spectacle Pond or just stay on our unpaved roads and walk leisurely around the lake through the hills of the Wood Lands. Our hiking trails have been newly renovated and marked and connect with miles of trails in the 1500-acre Otis State Forest that abuts our property.
OWL Hikers Guide - The Trail Committee's guide to use and enjoyment of our trails includes descriptions and distances of trails in Otis Wood Lands and in the State Forest.

Picnic Grove

Grab a sandwich and enjoy a family picnic overlooking the lake. The picnic grove is a wonderful shady spot to hear the water and the rustling leaves sing!
Playground
Our one-acre playground has some of the most modern equipment for young ones to enjoy. Play on the swings, enjoy 'life-size' tic-tac-toe, or hang upside down... go there during the day and you'll see it's not just for kids.
Pool
Laps anyone? We have two pools - one of which is just for kids! The early morning hours are for those who want to get in some laps. And the pool is heated so anytime of day is a nice time for a swim.
Tennis Courts
Doubles? Singles? We have four championship tennis courts. there's usually no problem getting on a court when you like, but if it's busy, there's a sign up board to reserve a court.  And we've recently converted one to be used for pickleball as well. We've been known to get a little competitive, so bring your best game.
